So I haven’t posted any workwear looks in a long time, and it’s time to get back to my roots! I actually photographed this look around 6 months ago (you might be able to tell by my darker hair and shorter length), but I’m just not getting around to sharing. I’m sorry!

I actually started ACE to share workwear looks because I felt like it was difficult to find inspiration from a lot of the popular blogs. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten away from posting a lot of office appropriate looks lately. However, I hope y’all will tell me what you like seeing from me on ACE, so I can share more of it. If you want to see more casual, or more workwear, or more dressed up looks, PLEASE let me know!

This dress is long gone from Last Call, but it’s a great website to find staple work dresses with a fun twist. Over the years, I’ve purchased quite a few classy and unique dresses for the office, and this look is no exception. I like feeling good about myself when I get dressed for work. I spend most of my time in work clothes, so it’s best for me when they’re a reflection of my style and personality. I don’t want to stifle myself in the office.

I love the asymmetrical peplum, which is different from the usual peplum options. The red really pops as well – so bright and cheerful. I get so many compliments when I wear color to work, and I think it truly brightens the office environment for other people too. Don’t get me wrong – I love classic blacks, blues and grays – but I mix in color all the time.

I paired this dress with my leopard Louboutins. The pointy toe stiletto is classic, but the leopard print makes is fun and interesting – not to mention the pop of red on the bottom. 🙂

And for the final touch…my favorite Chanel flap bag. I bought this shortly after I started working 5 years ago, and it wasn’t my best financial decision. I was being impatient, and I should have waited until I really earned it and deserved it for putting in years of work. Even though I should have waited, I love it. I’m still scared to carry it around sometimes, because I don’t want to ruin it, but it’s a special occasion whenever I do take it out of the box. It’s well worth the cost, but definitely make sure it’s the RIGHT time and the right decision before investing in one. Learn from my mistakes. lol 🙂

Love always,

Lisa Dawn
