A very short winter is ending here in Texas. We haven’t had that many cool – let alone cold days – lately, which means I haven’t had much opportunity to wear my sweaters, scarves and knit hats. But, for all of my cold weather living friends, I have a couple more posts featuring cold weather looks! It’s also a great time to catch sales on these pieces so you can be prepared for next year’s winter. Some clothing just never goes out of style.
I wore this outfit in Seattle a few months ago. I literally went into the Flagship Nordstrom store downtown and bought a sweater, scarf and sunnies and changed into them immediately. The shopping bag in my hand is not a prop. 🙂 It’s actually holding the clothes I was wearing before I purchased these items.
We have a couple more cold days on the way I’m sure (probably during a weird time like April), so I’m hoping I have another opportunity to wear this outfit before it’s officially spring.
Even if my prediction doesn’t happen, I’ll still have the opportunity to wear my burnt orange come football season since I attended the University of Texas. I’ll DEFINITELY be wearing this sweater to games in the fall. I’m so excited about the outfit possibilities – oh, and the games! Sometimes you want to rock your team colors without wearing a jersey or t-shirt. I’ll be warm and supportive at the same time.
These are my second pair of New Balance tennis shoes. I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on the bronze (some say rose gold) color because it’s so unique. They perfectly compliment the burnt orange sweater since they have pops of orange with the shoestrings. They’re really comfortable for all day wear but far from boring tennis shoes.
I just got back from Mexico, where my friend commented that I have sunglasses for every outfit. You know, that’s close to true. Ever since I found this really inexpensive sunglasses brand, I don’t feel guilty about owning an obscene number of sunnies. I don’t have to worry about breaking them or losing them because they are about the price of lunch!
I hope you have a fantastic week! I have one more cooler weather look to share with you soon, and then I’m moving on to the spring and summer looks.
