Happy Saturday! It’s finally cold in Texas (and wet), so it’s the perfect time to share this comfy post. I’m in Dallas right now getting my hair cut with my sisters. Yes, we all came to Dallas because there’s an awesome hairstylist who specializes in curly haircuts! I’m sitting in the salon waiting my turn and working on this post.
I went to Seattle a couple of weeks ago with my sister (and photographer), and we had a blast. We literally ate our way through the city. Our first stop was Pike’s Place Market, and we had delicious salmon poke, homemade jam and amazing clam chowder. Definitely had to make a stop at the original Starbucks too. 🙂
I was really worried about what to pack because it was the middle of November in Seattle, which I’ve heard is super cold and rainy. Luckily, it didn’t rain the whole time we were there, and the clothes I packed were perfect. This is the first of three outfits that I wore there, and I think it’s my favorite one.
I’d been wanting a long cardigan for awhile, and I LOVE this Vince Camuto option. It’s super comfy and chic all at the same time, which is the best combination in my opinion.
I paired the cardigan with some high waisted Levi’s (my first pair of Levi’s since I was a kid). I’ve really been on a distressed jeans kick, and I love this pair in the lighter wash. I was thinking it might be too cold to wear my knees out, but it wasn’t! lol
Have I mentioned that I’m all about bodysuits lately? I’ve bought probably five in the last couple of months. I definitely look for thong options in order to avoid those horrible panty lines, and I also want snap closures for obvious reasons.
This pretty green color worked so well with the light wash jeans and the gray cardigan and floppy hat.
My sister bought me this floppy hat for Christmas last year. I’ve loved hats since I was younger and went through different hat phases. At one point, I wore snapbacks all the time, and I also had a trucker hat phase. lol
My hat tastes have become a bit more classy and sophisticated lately, and I love pairing a hat with an outfit in the wintertime.
Last, but certainly not least, these boots! Such a great shoe purchase this year. I eyed a pair of Giuseppe Zanetti combat boots for awhile, but I could not bring myself to come to terms with the price tag. I searched and searched for another option and found these, which I absolutely love!
They are so comfortable too, and the gold accents are just the edgy look I was going for!
Hope you’ve enjoyed this first look from Seattle! I’ll be sharing more over the next couple of weeks.
